The primary goal must be to connect with the listener. So it’s no surprise that One Man Band feels like an ideal Pixar short: two men playing music for the single coin of an onlooking girl. A musician who plays with the goal of merely impressing the audience is thinking much too selfishly. It’s a force that should bring people closer together-not divide.
